Many of our D.I.Y. (do-it-yourself) VIN Etch Kit customers have provided feedback about their experiences with our kit...

Here are a few recent comments…

“I received your product and I am DELIGHTED with the results. First of all, your timeliness of shipment was wonderful and all you promised it would do… IT DID. You rock and thank you so much for making me feel alot safer with every window etched” Michael, Coral Springs, FL.

“I gave your info to a colleague of my husbands. He was telling me all the things he has done to save on car insurance… and I “one upped” him with VIN etching!!!! Hopefully you will be hearing from him too. Now that I know about your company, it is the greatest holiday or birthday gift going.” Ellen K., S. California

“I was VERY pleased with the ease of applying the etching of the VIN to my new SUV. I was a bit apprehensive that they would be smudged or blurry but they came out PERFECT! Thanks. It was alot better than paying the $169 that my dealer wanted.” Tom C.

“Wow! What a great and inexpensive way to protect your car investment. The best thing is, it was real easy to use. Etch it and you will be glad you did!!” Eddie S.

“Thanks for sending the FREE silver highlighter paint. It does make the VIN stand out better. I was wondering how I could get an extra warning label as when I was putting it on one side it got messed up? I am willing to pay for it and the postage.” Al, NJ No problem Al. A couple warning labels are on the way. MNG

“I purchased the VIN Etching Kit for two vehicles. You shipped it very quickly and everything was packaged very well. The application went perfect and the results look great! I feel much better now with an added deterrent to a thief stealing my vehicles. I also have LOJACK installed in both vehicles so I hope this will lead to more and more thugs thrown in the clink.” Doug F.

As you can tell by the comments above, our DIY VIN Etching kits are well received. We have one of the lowest prices on the web and we have been offering do-it- yourselfers kits longer than almost anyone else. In fact a number of kit producers have purchased their materials from us. One feature of our kit that s not offered by our competitors is the highlighting paint to make the VIN etch more obvious to the would be thief.

Broken windshields may yield additional $$$$$$ for Glass Installers...

A number of Auto Glass Installers have learned to be on the lookout for an etched VIN on glass they are about to replace. Several installers in the state of Arizona and other places in the US report that re-etching the VIN on replaced windshields and other glass replacements has added significantly to their bottom line in these tough times.

Apparently it is not uncommon for insurance companies to pay anywhere from $25 to $40 for each re-etch if done at the time of the glass replacement installation. (Note, as a precaution, we recommend the installer take a pix of the broken windshield or other glass, showing the actual etched VIN if possible, as there have been a number of suspected cases of fraud uncovered).

As a further idea, mobile glass units can offer VIN etching to their customers either as a promotion or as an inexpensive service add-on.

The VIN Etching equipment is inexpensive and portable plus the necessary supplies average out to less than a dollar per vehicle. One company reportably paid for their VIN Etching system in the first week they had it. The process to etch all the glass in a vehicle takes 10 minutes or less.

Call Mark-N-Gard at 1-888-AUTO ETCH (1-888-288-6382) to find out how you might cash in on this affordable new opportunity in glass VIN Etching.

Diligent detective locates etched VIN on glass fragment to identify burned and abandoned vehicle in desert.

Need Adobe Reader? Download the latest version here.

From time to time we receive reports from our law enforcement friends, where Mark-N-Gard has aided directly in providing a missing link in solving a vehicle crime.

Here is one case, deep in the desert of Arizona where, without Mark-N-Gard, the police, insurance company as well as the vehicle owners would still be scratching their heads as to the whereabouts of this vehicle.

Click here to read an excerpt of a letter from the investigator involved and remember… Use your back button to return to Mark-N-Gard.

Dozens of law enforcement agencies in the state of AZ are using Mark-N-Gard to help raise the public awareness of auto theft prevention. As a result, a high percentage of vehicles are already etched with their VIN numbers.

The Arizona Auto Theft Authority (AATA) is the AZ govt. agency with a mission of deterring vehicle theft in Arizona through a cooperative effort by supporting law enforcement activities, vertical prosecution, and public education programs.
